As per MCI's records and report there are 412 medical colleges in India for MBBS course and Total Seats : 52715.
This analysis excludes AIIMS About includes JIPMER. This also includes all government medical colleges as well as private. Some medical colleges have requested MCI to upgrade their number of seats. Final approval by MCI is awaited and will be known by September 2016.
