Review of the Annual Administrative Report

Review of the Annual Administrative Report of the Health Department,Haryana for the year2016-17. The Annual Administrative report of the Health Department, Haryana contains information of medical and health facilities provided to the public in Haryana state by the Health department. The details of various public health programmes like control of communicable diseases, National Vector Borne Disease control Programme, Control of Blindness Programme, Control of T.B, Family Welfare Programme etc. have been incorporated. There were 3503 medical institutions functioning in the state as on 31 March 2017.These medical institutions include hospitals, community health centres, primary health centre sub centres of the allopathic system. During the year 2016, 7866 malaria were reported which has 18.3% lower than compared to 2015. Under than family welfare programme,64,854, Sterilization operations were performed 2,20,387 I.U.C.D.s (Intra Utrine Conraceptive Device) were inserted and 1,92,64,892 Condom Pieces and10,08,493 Oral Pill cycles were distributed/registered during the year 2016-17 as against 1,77,94,186 Condom Pieces and 9,99,260 Oral pill cycles distributed/registered during the year 2015- 16. Instead on the basis of information received. Reproductive & Child Health Programme Phase II under the banner of National Rural Health Mission was launched in Haryana State on 2nd April, 2005. The Mission lays emphasis ASHA as Link Volunteers, First Referral Unit operationalization and components of Janani Suraksha Yojna, Referral Transport, Strengthening Programme Management. Unit at State and district level with particular emphasis on improved financial management system, Strengthening of training institutions, Logistic Management and Public Private partnerships to provide quantifiable services for institutional delivery and family planning services, immunization. Fort this purpose during the year 2016- 17 a plan of worth Rs. 498.27 crore was sanctioned under the Programme. A sum of Rs. 482.73 crore was spent against it. The expenditure has been incurred on RCH flexipool, Infrastructure Strengthening, routine immunization, United funds if sub-centres, IEC activities etc. During the year 2016-17, 2 new appointments were made in the Health Department which belongs to ESM category.
